{"id":2389,"date":"2018-07-16T13:58:59","date_gmt":"2018-07-16T17:58:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ncqa.org\/?page_id=2389"},"modified":"2026-03-19T11:14:29","modified_gmt":"2026-03-19T15:14:29","slug":"hedis-learning-collaborative","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ncqa.org\/hedis\/hedis-learning-collaborative\/","title":{"rendered":"HEDIS Learning Collaborative"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What was the HEDIS<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> Learning Collaborative?<\/h2>\n<p>The overall goal of the learning collaborative was to\u00a0help\u00a0health plans\u00a0report\u00a0measures using\u00a0a\u00a0new reporting method\u00a0and to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify how plans can use electronic clinical data sources to report plan-level results for HEDIS measures.<\/li>\n<li>Understand the availability of electronic clinical data to health plans.<\/li>\n<li>Refine HEDIS guidelines for measure reporting and auditing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Learning Collaborative Participants<\/h2>\n<p>Plans collaborated\u00a0with NCQA and\u00a0each other\u00a0to learn about approaches to aggregating electronic clinical data.\u00a0Their findings helped\u00a0NCQA develop reporting and audit guidelines\u00a0to use in\u00a0future ECDS HEDIS measures.<\/p>\n<p>NCQA thanks the following organizations for their participation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AmeriHealth Caritas District of Columbia<\/li>\n<li>CalOptima<\/li>\n<li>CareSource<\/li>\n<li>FirstCare Health Plans<\/li>\n<li>Geisinger Health Plans<\/li>\n<li>Kaiser Permanente Northern California<\/li>\n<li>Medica<\/li>\n<li>MVP Health Care<\/li>\n<li>Presbyterian Health Plan<\/li>\n<li>PrimeWest Health<\/li>\n<li>Rocky Mountain Health Plans<\/li>\n<li>Triple S Advantage (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Puerto Rico)<\/li>\n<li>Virginia Premier Health Plan, Inc<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Previous Events<\/h2>\n<p>NCQA hosted a virtual event to widely share the results of the HEDIS Learning Collaborative on February 23, 2017.
